Shuttering Carpenter
Responsibilities:
Construct and dismantle formwork for concrete structures
Interpret technical drawings and follow specifications accurately
Measure, cut, and assemble shuttering materials (plywood, timber, etc.)
Ensure all formwork is level, aligned, and securely installed
Collaborate with steel fixers and concrete workers on-site
Maintain tools and work safely in compliance with site safety standards
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in shuttering carpentry (GCC experience preferred)
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Familiarity with various shuttering systems (traditional, modular, etc.)
Good physical condition and ability to work in outdoor environments
Basic knowledge of site safety and manual handling practices
Steel Fixer
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret structural drawings and bar bending schedules
Cut, bend, and fix steel bars and mesh using hand tools and machinery
Tie rebar using wire and pliers according to project specifications
Install reinforcements in foundations, walls, beams, and slabs
Work closely with shuttering carpenters to ensure timely concrete pouring
Comply with safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness of work area
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in steel fixing
Ability to work with different types of steel reinforcement (rebar, mesh)
Strong understanding of construction blueprints and technical requirements
Good physical stamina and ability to work long hours if needed
