Now Hiring: Accountant – Supermarket/Retail Experience Required | Join a Growing Team in the UAE
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records for daily supermarket operations
Handle accounts payable/receivable, vendor payments, and customer invoicing
Reconcile POS reports, cash registers, and bank statements
Track inventory costs, wastage, and make necessary stock adjustments
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
Manage VAT filing and taxation compliance; coordinate with auditors
Monitor petty cash, daily sales, and credit customer accounts
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and financial controls
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or supermarket
Solid understanding of inventory accounting and POS reconciliation
Proficient in accounting tools like Tally, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting
Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and retail tax compliance
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Effective communicator and team player
