Quantity Surveyor - Cost Plan

Job PurposeProvide cost planning and cost management expertise during all stages of a project, ensuring feasibility, accuracy, and alignment with the client’s financial objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and provide cost plans during early stages of projects through detailed feasibility studies and cost analysis.Collaborate with the design department to define the cost plan, identify financial constraints, and recommend procurement strategies.Refine initial cost plans, conduct value engineering exercises, and advise on design modifications for cost-effectiveness.Conduct detailed cost checks against evolving designs to maintain budgetary control.Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), including:Collecting and reviewing all relevant project documents.Itemising and categorising materials and labour.Quality control and cross-checking for accuracy and consistency.Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.Final compilation in a clear, organized format with project details.Provide detailed cost information to support tender document preparation.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.Minimum 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying.Experience in Cost Consultancy is preferred.Proficiency in MS Office, Planswift, AutoCAD, and BIM.
