  • Organizes the integrated site team to supervise the EPC Contractor's commissioning progress until COD (including checking and implementing commissioning procedures, inspection witnessing, clearing punch list items, issuing commissioning certificates, and ensuring turnover packages readiness).
  • Provides input into weekly site meetings, progress meetings, and/or discipline technical meetings with the EPC Contractor.
  • Monitors and checks the EPC Contractor’s work across each discipline to ensure the timely delivery of works.
  • Confirms and provides the Project Director (PD) with inputs for monthly progress reports and relevant information to verify EPC Contractor invoices.

Requirements 

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and commissioning of utility-scale PV IPP projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Strong EPC / Developer background and experience.
  • Experience managing projects valued at over $100 million.
  • Commissioning experience on at least 3 completed projects.
  • Experience in testing and commissioning of PV arrays, PV trackers, string inverters, MV transformer stations, and 33kV/132kV substation components.
  • Knowledgeable of Grid Code, safety procedures notification, grid compliance tests, and PV plant performance tests.
  • Familiar with international standards and best practices for testing and commissioning of PV power plant components.
  • Knowledgeable of environmental legislation/regulations and good industry practices related to construction works.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint (or similar tools).
  • Experienced in developing plant manuals, switching procedures and programs, safety procedures, and O&M manuals.
