Development Director

Summary

The Development Team Lead / Strategic Development Manager oversees the operation of the development team strategically, providing leadership and direction throughout the entire development lifecycle. This role ensures alignment with organizational goals, manages feasibility studies, and drives strategic decision-making for BEYOND’s ultra-luxury projects.

Day-to-Day Tasks

  • Oversee the development team, providing leadership and direction across all project stages.
  • Spearhead feasibility studies for upcoming BEYOND projects, securing necessary approvals.
  • Evaluate and refine research and analysis presented by the team for clarity and accuracy.
  • Define strategic technological requirements, focusing on innovative construction and smart home features.
  • Develop high-level cost and revenue projections by analyzing pricing strategies for ultra-luxury projects.
  • Review resource allocation to ensure timely achievement of milestones and uphold quality standards.
  • Approve operational workflows across design, marketing, and sales stages for efficiency.
  • Identify and assess risks, formulating strategic mitigation strategies for market or construction challenges.
  • Oversee cost control during construction, ensuring budget adherence and identifying efficiency opportunities.
  • Manage project programs and budgets strategically, ensuring alignment with BEYOND objectives.
  • Maintain a robust network of cost consultants and lead their selection and appointment.
  • Develop and present business plans to senior management to secure approvals for strategic initiatives.
  • Review project alignment with strategic objectives, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Manage high-level communication with vendors and suppliers, addressing issues proactively.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance for all project activities and implement safety plans.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to team members, fostering growth and experience.

Competencies

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Real Estate Evaluation.
  • Experience: 10–15 years in a similar role.
  • Soft Skills: Communication, team player, time management, problem solving, adaptability, attention to detail, leadership, strategic planning, multitasking, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, Microsoft Office, Aigus Developer, InDesign, BlueBeam, Acrobat PRO.
