E-Commerce Transport and Last Mile Lead

Role Purpose

The E-Commerce Transport and Last Mile Lead is responsible for identifying and implementing solutions to last-mile challenges for e-commerce. He/she coordinates, implements, and completes all online operations projects through distribution centers, packing stations, and stores.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the brand's omni-channel presence across all regions, while developing and leading the last-mile e-commerce business plan, budget, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Support stakeholders with the ongoing commercial review of last-mile operators and commercial agreements. Provide support for platform coordination with last-mile partners and local teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement changes in local promotional strategies across all delivery methods.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve inquiries or concerns related to last-mile online projects, escalating errors and risks as needed.
  • Work with all relevant parties to ensure effective execution and monitoring of online operational activities. Coordinate with regional teams to integrate physical and virtual businesses, achieving agreed-upon objectives.
  • Ensure maintenance of SLA (Service-Level Agreement) delivery standards and budgeted fulfilment costs in coordination with local fulfilment teams.
  • Establish and implement online projects and strategies to ensure continuous growth of last-mile processes in stores.
  • Develop weekly online feedback reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and analytical references for the delivery ecosystem.
  • Conduct field visits to various entities to provide necessary support and enhance market knowledge.
  • Execute new season collection launches in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, coordinating with customer service, fulfilment, delivery, seasonal events teams, and digital marketing teams.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate the team to ensure the department has the necessary skill base, and staff are fully enabled to maximize their potential and contribution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 6–8 years of experience in E-Commerce and Last Mile Operations or a similar role, including 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is a MUST.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
