Information Technology Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and system issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve system, printer, or network connectivity problems in a timely manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, servers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Assist users with troubleshooting Microsoft Office, email, and other business applications.
  • Monitor network performance, ensuring availability and security.
  • Support setup and maintenance of LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networks.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within Active Directory or related systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors or external service providers for maintenance and support.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, backups, and data recovery procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and data protection standards.
  • Maintain an updated inventory of IT assets, licenses, and equipment.
  • Assist in upgrading systems and implementing new technologies.
  • Provide user orientation and training on IT tools and systems.
  • Maintain documentation for troubleshooting guides and user manuals.
  • Deliver timely and professional IT support to enhance user satisfaction.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS environments, MS Office, and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN configuration.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote desktop tools.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are an advantage.
