Resource Manager - Manufacturing

About the Job

The Manufacturing Resource & Workforce Manager is responsible for planning, allocating, and monitoring resources across manufacturing units to ensure optimal efficiency, workforce productivity, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Resource Planning and Allocation:
    • Develop and implement resource management plans based on production schedules and capacity requirements.
    • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials across all manufacturing units.
    • Forecast resource needs and proactively address potential shortages or bottlenecks.
  2. Workforce Management:
    • Coordinate with HR for workforce planning, recruitment, and deployment based on production demands.
    • Track attendance, shift schedules, and productivity of plant personnel.
    • Identify training and skill enhancement needs to improve workforce efficiency.
  3. Material and Equipment Coordination:
    • Monitor availability and usage of raw materials, consumables, and spare parts.
    • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to maintain adequate stock levels.
    • Ensure machinery and equipment are effectively scheduled and maintained to minimize downtime.
  4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Analyze resource utilization data and provide periodic reports to management.
    • Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
    • Support implementation of KPIs for manpower and production efficiency.
  5. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure all resource management activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
    • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Human Resources or operations management within manufacturing industries.
  • Experience in resource planning, workforce management, and production efficiency improvement.
